SMS proMANAGE™, the newly formed managed services division of SMS proTECH, moves the business model away from a break/fix service industry and into a pro-active monitoring tool to manage customer infrastructure. “We’re pleased to offer our customers a ‘peace of mind’ solution so they can spend time focusing on their business and not their infrastructure.” says David Rees, CIO, SMS proMANAGE, “We’ll be able to provide mission-critical monitoring of servers, routers, switches and other business applications in a 24 x 7 x 365 support model. In addition to reducing our customer’s costs and increasing efficiencies, this new model will utilize remote technologies for assistance and implementation wherever possible.” “Customers who opt-in to SMS proMANAGE services will also receive advanced notifications and alerts of pending issues. In addition, these new features will allow us to effectively plan and prepare our customers future IT expenditures to help them make informed financial decisions.” Another feature of SMS proMANAGE services is IT asset inventory tracking and recording. Changes to inventory, new purchases and identification of obsolete software or hardware will allow customers to stay up-to-date on essential warranty information.
