Perry Corporation Acquires System Integration Division of The SMS Group

Perry Corporation, Lima, OH., and The SMS Group, Sidney, OH., today announced that the Perry Corporation has acquired the privately held Systems Integration Division of The SMS Group, a leader in IP Telephony Convergence, Thin Client Computing, Wireless Infrastructure, Security Solutions, Technical Services, Storage/Recovery Solutions, Network Management and Disaster Recovery.

The systems integration division of The SMS Group, based in Sidney, is a strategic addition to Perry Corporation’s long-term diversification plans. The acquisition will allow Perry Corporation the opportunity to define a robust technology platform that delivers hardware and software across a wide range of devices and operating systems. The combined companies will now offer a broader set of products and benefits for clients in all areas of their businesses.

The Systems Integration Division of The SMS Group will be renamed as “SMS proTECH” (a Perry Corporation Company). The rebranding is required as The SMS Group will keep their current name for their remaining Automated Data Collection (ADC) division, an industry leader in ADC Software, Custom Application Programming, ADC Hardware, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification).
