Q. What is your primary IT focus or specialty?
A. My main area of focus is installing and configuring Citrix Xenapp installations; Microsoft Exchange 2010 migrations, upgrades and installations; Virtualization using Xenserve and VMware; HP san storage and Microsoft Active Directory migrations and installations.
Q. When did you start working with SMS proTECH?
A. I started working for SMS proTECH in 1997
- wow, 14 years ago!
Q. What certifications have you earned?
A. I have 3 certifications – Microsoft MCSE, Citrix CCEA, and VMware VCP vSphere 4.
Q. What is your favorite part of
your job?
A. I like projects! My favorite part of my job is working on new projects with our clients, working with them to determine the best solution for their needs, then developing the project plan, implementing that plan and making the end results exceed the clients expectations.
I like working with our clients IT staff, getting to know their environment, getting to know their users and their needs. I feel this helps me understand them better and helps us work towards a common goal.
Q. What are some strengths at
SMS proTECH?
A.

The is no doubt that our strength is our employee owners at SMS proTech. I feel the combined knowledge base of our technical and administrative people coupled with our desire to do the best job possible is what makes us the best. An old saying states that it take two things to be successful – “ Aptitude and Attitude ”. The skill set and knowledge coupled with the desire to succeed is the common thread that SMS proTECH employee owners have.
